An Initial Occupational Assessment establishes the starting point. Working one to one with a Career Consultant, the client’s employment background is reviewed in full — the roles they have held, the training and qualifications they bring, and the skills that carry across into other kinds of work.

The outcome is a clear, evidence-based view of which work types are realistically suitable, given where the client is now.

Who it’s for

Clients at the beginning of a vocational rehabilitation pathway, where the question is not yet how to return to work but what work is appropriate to aim for.

What the client receives

A written report setting out the assessment findings and a shortlist of suitable work type options, with the reasoning behind each one. The report is written to be useful to the client, their case owner, and their treatment providers alike.
